So, I haven't posted anything recently, and that's because of the 3D Character Sculpting workshop I'm in at the moment. Needless to say, I have some amazing models to post once that's done, and cannot wait for that time to come. In the meantime, while I have some down time, I'm finishing recording the 2nd series for the Crescent Rose tutorial, where it is made to look exactly like it is in RWBY. Oddly enough, thanks to the Volume 3 release of RWBY (Yay!), I was able to get even better references for the model, which I found some stuff I missed in the first series.
Anyways, this 2nd series is going to be so awesome, and will then be looking forward to the 3rd and final series after that.

Fanart!
So, my 2D has been taking a back seat as of recently. I'm working on the 2nd part of the Crescent Rose tutorial, where we finally texture it, and then make a photo-realistic version after that. So, that has been taking a lot of my time, as well as a lot of other things on top of that.
In the meantime I've been reading a few books on comics, and re-planning my new webcomic (again). After reading so much, I'm starting to plan another webcomic, just to start getting into the groove. The original story I really want to do as best as possible, so I think it would be best for it not to be my first. Also, my usual weekly life drawing will be more a
Even more now!
So, here we go again! I've been thoroughly enjoying creating video tutorials, that I created even more. Just today I published four new Krita tutorials! I've met so many people that have had trouble getting into this software, including myself, so I went ahead and took the time to record a few that covered the most asked questions, and then some.
Aside from that, in the background, I've been helping a friend more accustom to 2D art, learn some 3D tricks. This friend is the one who actually suggested the Crescent Rose tutorial, and talk about a great suggestion! There are so many more to tutorials to be made, including the second half of the
Devious Journal Entry
So for anyone that doesn't know already, my new tutorial series teaching you how to create and animate the base model of the Crescent Rose from RWBY, is now live! In this tutorial, I show you how to do this all in Blender, so no need to buy any software at all, it is all free!
[Crescent Rose Tutorial Series]
This is the first part of two. In the next part of the series, we will render it in Blender just like it looks in RWBY, and then after that, we will be doing a hyper-realistic version.
Back to Photoshop
Apologies to the friend I said I would make a new piece for. You can find the lineart in my scrapbook, but unfortunately, I could not finish it as my software could not handle that much digital goodness. I'll finish it tomorrow in Photoshop.
Well, I'm not happy about it, but I'm having to move back to Photoshop. For whatever reason, Krita has an issue with Windows 10, where it will crash after using 1.5GB of memory, which shouldn't be much, especially when I have 12GB left of system memory, and 3GB of VRAM. Anyways, enough tech talk. I'm not enjoying being without Krita already, but it's what I'll have to do until they fix that issue.
